And this week was pretty much the best of my life. Why pray tell? Because Zone Conference. Such an awesome awesome time. Not only do you get to be around the Mission President, but you get to receive incredible revelation from him on how to improve your area and work, but you also get to be around a ton of missionaries. And when you´re in Comodoro that means you get to see the Caleta Olivia zone as well. 😀 It was so great to see not only Elder Smith but the rest of my old zone. We spent most of the free time during lunch just catching up on the crazy things that have happened on these short two months since I left and laughing about ridiculous happenings of my first few months in the mission. Yup. Conferences. The best!
So in this conference President Lovell presented his ´´changes´´ to the mission. Which really aren´t changes as much as just little instructions how we can get back on the ball. He focuses a lot on how our planning affects not only our teaching but also our studying, and that to be successful missionaries we should be working our tails off in the pensión and not just outside of it. The other big one was that now we´re staying in the pensiónes until 11 every morning so that we can become even more kpo with the language, but focusing on helping our wonderful Latino companions learn English. So Elder Rozas and I have been having lots of fun learning our crazy language that is so much fun to pronounce. 🙂
Oh! And the day before the conference we had another surprise visit from the President and Hermana Lovell as well as the assistants to inspect our pensiónes again. Let´s just say that they´re much happier with where we´re living now. And it looks like we are here to stay instead of moving in the next couple months. And there was much rejoicing. 🙂
I know I keep saying this, but I truly do feel like we manage to find a way to walk more and more every week. This week we made even more contacts, shared even more pass a long cards, and basically through our backs out trying to find more investigators. Joy :). And guess what the best part is! We get to do it again this week! Have I ever said how much I love missionary work? There´s nothing that gives you a better excuse to go up to someone ask them how they are and help them improve their lives. True Gospel. Love it.
It was another week of receiving a lot of texts from investigators saying Í´m sick´ or ´´next week will be better for us.´´ We know a ton of people that we want to baptize, but it´s time to either throw up the heat or put them in the freezer for a bit. But, that´s life.
Well not a ton of specific news this week. Just having the time of my life and working a ton. I can´t believe that the time is able to go so ridiculously fast. Thank you all so so so so much for your prayers. They really are making a difference. And oh! I forgot! Elder Cañiza, the missionary who about a week ago was going to go home–He´s staying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Zone Conference helped him get back in the game. Thank you so much for the prayers on his part. Miracles. Results of faith. Love you all. Have an awesome week!
